CSS Presentation

CSS properties are used to manipulate the CSS presentation. These CSS properties can be divided into several categories according to their characteristics.

Some typical categories of CSS properties are flow properties, positioning properties, alignment properties, box properties.

Flow Properties

According to the CSS display property, a CSS container has two build-in flow features, inline flow and discrete flow.

Positioning Properties

According to the CSS float property and CSS position property, the positioning of a CSS container is arranged in two different mechanism, static CSS container flowing mechanism and relative CSS container positioning mechanism.

Alignment Properties

The CSS vertical-align property.

Box Properties

The related CSS properties are

  • CSS margin properties
  • CSS padding properties
  • CSS border properties
  • CSS font properties
